Ads, pages, tracking

One request for the whole paid lead setup

Send one brief covering ads, landing pages and follow-up. A service partner scopes what you need and quotes it, and nothing is agreed until you say so.

Who usually asks for this

Requests tend to come from a handful of situations:

  • A business running Google Ads itself that no longer has the hours to check search terms and budgets each week.
  • A company that has tried Meta or LinkedIn ads and could not tell whether any inquiries came from them.
  • A team launching a new offer that needs a landing page, a form and tracking before the first ad goes live.
  • An owner whose inquiries arrive in a shared inbox and sometimes go unanswered for days.

Each of these maps to one of the four services on this site, and plenty of requests combine two or more.

Choosing where to start

If people already search for what you sell, search ads are usually the first thing to look at, since you can bid on those searches. If buyers rarely search but can be reached by job title, industry or interest, paid social on Meta or LinkedIn may fit better. Whichever channel you use, ads need somewhere to send people, which is where landing pages and forms come in. And if you cannot tell today which inquiries came from which ad, start with lead tracking and follow-up before spending more.

What to expect after you ask for a quote

Nothing is agreed by sending the form. This is the usual order of things.

  1. Your request goes to a service partner that handles lead generation and paid traffic work.
  2. The partner emails you to arrange a conversation about your business and what you sell.
  3. They ask about ad accounts, landing pages, tracking and how inquiries are answered today.
  4. A written quote follows, covering setup, ongoing management and how the arrangement can end.

Ad spend and the management fee are separate

A common point of confusion: the money you pay the ad platforms does not go to the partner. You pay Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta or LinkedIn directly, and you set that budget. The partner charges for their time. A single search campaign with an existing landing page and working tracking is a small scope. Three channels, several new pages, call tracking and a CRM integration is a much larger one. Weekly reporting with a meeting takes more to deliver than a monthly written summary. Expect the quote to reflect those choices.

Before you send a request

How do I end the arrangement?

Give the notice set out in your agreement. Before the end date, confirm you have admin access to every ad account, analytics property, tag container and page builder, then remove the partner's user access. Ask that landing pages and tracking keep running or be handed over. A good proposal explains this exit process up front.

My industry has ad restrictions. Can this still work?

Often, with care. Ad platforms restrict or add rules for areas such as health, financial services, housing, employment, credit, legal services, alcohol and gambling. Some require advertiser verification or limit targeting. Mention your industry in the request so the service partner can say what is possible. Whether specific claims are lawful is a question for your own counsel.

Do I need consent before sending follow-up texts to new leads?

Generally yes. Marketing calls and texts to people who fill in a form fall under consent rules, including the federal TCPA and some state laws. Setting up the right consent wording and records is the advertiser's responsibility, and the details should come from your own counsel. A service partner can build the form fields and record what was agreed. The FCC publishes consumer guidance on robocalls and texts.

What is the difference between setup and ongoing management?

Setup is the one-time work: building campaigns, writing the first ads, creating landing pages and forms, installing conversion tracking and connecting leads to your inbox or CRM. Management is the work after launch: adjusting bids and budgets, excluding poor search terms, testing ads and pages, checking tracking and reporting. Many providers quote the two separately.

What will I need to provide?

Typically: access to existing ad accounts and analytics, a payment method on file with the ad platforms, facts about your offer and prices, logos and photos, someone to approve ads and pages, and a person who answers new inquiries. Over time, the most useful thing you can give is feedback on which leads became customers.

You keep the accounts and the data. Ask a service partner to quote the hands-on work.
